PVC – Schedule 40

PVC (polyvinyl chloride) Schedule 40 is arguably the second most common sewer pipe that we come across in modern installations in Oregon and Washington. This may differ depending on what part of the country to live in. It is stronger than the previously discussed SDR piping, but less flexible. PVC Schedule 40 is typically white in color and began to gain popularity in the 1970s. It is common to find PVC sewer lines in home’s built from the 1980s and on.
